- One section of a report I'm writing is a discussion of the advantages
- and disadvantages of Ada and C++. I have at my disposal an April, 1992,
- paper by Ed Schonberg comparing Ada and C++ and a response to that paper by
- Dag Bruck. Personally, I'm very strongly pro-Ada and as a result I have no
- problem coming up with what I see as many advantages of Ada and disadvan-
- tages of C++.
-
- Difficult though it might be to believe, I'd like my report to be as
- impartial as possible. I'm asking anyone who knows both C++ and Ada and
- prefers C++ to give me the other side of the story. Let me know what you
- see as the advantages of C++ and the disadvantages of Ada.

- Please, no flames. This is a serious attempt to gather useful infor-
- mation for a serious purpose. Language comparisons have often been com-
- pared to religious wars. Using that analogy, this is an adherent of one
- faith trying to understand the viewpoint of the followers of another.
-
- Consistent with my "no flames" request, I seems to me that email re-
- sponses would be preferable to posting.
